Wild Things

From vibrant dandelions to prickly nettles, this beautifully illustrated book celebrates the nature in our hedgerows. Laura, an artist and Hannah, a music educator have joined forces with NatureNorthWest's guide Aengus Kennedy to showcase a dozen of nature's Wild Things.

Each flora has been artfully illustrated by Laura, complete with its English, Irish and Latin name.

The tales of their chosen twelve plants are accompanied by a charming recipe or an unusual activity that aims to foster a closer connection with Ireland's nature. Some of our favourite ideas from the book include the gorse-dyed handkerchief project, and the delicious nettle pesto recipe. This gorgeous little book is a great option for the whole family to enjoy!
