Winter Cards (for a fragile planet)
This is a set of 10 alternative Christmas cards, 2 of each illustration. They are 140mm x 140mm with kraft envelopes made from recycled paper. Each card is printed in Ireland on 350g recycled paper and with inks made from plants. They were originally illustrated so that the cards could be framed afterward and not a throwaway item.
"I wanted to create cards that look at the beauty of our surroundings in winter. I also wanted to make cards to address the biodiversity and climate crisis, and yet generate hope for the future. That change is possible when we work together. There is one card that is not based in Ireland, which has a polar bear mother and cub. This is a nod to all of the people and species we share the planet with. We are all one large community connected in so many ways. This was the original starting point for the cards."
Dimensions: Each card is 14 x 14 cm.
