Founded in Dublin in 2015, Badly Made Books is now firmly based in Co. Cork with a studio and workshop in Togher, and a shop on Friar Street. Recycled paper stationary, all made in Cork City.
Each notebook is an original recipe, combining recycled paper, staples, tape, handcraft & machine efficiency to deliver a unique product.
Featuring scenic Irish photography and printed with restraint, each notebook is one of a kind and a total delight to use.
Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
