Eddie Doherty

Eddie Doherty

Eddie Doherty is a master handweaver and one of the few remaining artisans of his kind in Ireland. Nestled in Ardara, Donegal, Eddie operates his workshop and showroom, often inviting visitors to witness the blanket weaving craft firsthand.
Eddie’s journey began at 16 as an apprentice, driven by a determination to stay rooted in his homeland. Over the years, he honed his skills within the tweed industry, a cornerstone of employment in the area.
Eventually, Eddie took the leap to independence and established his own venture on Ardara's bustling main street.
