Edel Grace
Edel Grace's childhood art aspirations were hindered by her drawing skills, which prompted exploration into various careers. Inspired by her mother's cherished childhood teddy bear, she crafted a replacement as a birthday gift, igniting a passion for bear making. Despite lacking drawing expertise, she persisted, perfecting her patterns until the beloved Tipperary Bear was born.
In 2013, she established her studio (Teddy HQ) in scenic Grousehall, North Tipperary, where she continues to expertly craft stuffed creatures, including the ever charming Tipperary Hare.
Our Story
Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey established Irish Design Shop in 2008. A love of Irish craft and good design led these two jewellers to set up a retail space which offered customers both. Irish craft was witnessing a revival at this time, with a new breed of Irish designer/maker producing exciting, design-led products which embraced traditional and new techniques.
