Established in 1893, John Hanly & Co. have been producing woven fabrics, from their mills in North Tipperary, for over one hundred years. The company has always been under the management of the Hanly family and John's son Brian Hanly is now the fourth generation running the company.
They use all natural yarns to produce their collection of wool, cashmere and mohair scarves, throws and fabrics. With one third of the power used by the mill generated from from their own water turbine and with the remainder from their electricity supplier hydro generated, all the electricity used in the factory comes from renewable sources.
