Ballyogan Lambswool Throw
The Ballyogan Throw is made from super soft and light merino lambswool. This large blanket provides warmth without the heavy weight of some other options with a delicate and bespoke handling to create an indulgent softer finish.
Ballyogan House, Graiguenamanagh is a substantial 7-bed period residence set in the most magnificent countryside of County Kilkenny, Graiguenamanagh, close to Cushendale's Woollen Mill, benefitting from extensive frontage to the River Barrow and views of Brandon Hill and Blackstairs Mountains. The elegance of the colour combinations in these throws reflects the namesake.
Dimensions: Each blanket measures 180cm x 140cm.
Cushendale is one of the last fully vertical woollen mills remaining in Ireland today and operates just as it did when first established as an abbey mill in the 13th century, still taking in locally grown Irish wool to colour, card, spin and weave. Each step of the process is completed under the one roof, as it has been done for centuries. Combining creativity and craftsmanship they transform wool fleece into beautiful, soft textiles.
Today Cushendale is run by Philip and Miriam Cushen, fifth and sixth generations of the Cushen family.
Each piece from Cushendale is individually signed by the person who hand-finished it, making it a really special item.
Made from 100% soft and light Merino lambswool. Handwash only.
