Loinnir Tractor
Loinnir: Light, brightness, brilliance, radiance.
Many qualities of the Irish landscape have inspired Norman McCloskey over the last 30 years, one being the sense of 'light within'. This personal take on the Irish landscape fuels his passion and interest for finding compositions and interesting subjects even on the dullest of flat days.
In 2021, we collaborated with Norman to create our 2022 calendar, 'Irish Vernacular', where we linked up with Anchor Studio to bring life into the image, adding the gold foil detail to a photograph in a limited edition print. The duality of the photographic element and the more graphical foiled shapes gave the image a whole different meaning and purpose.
In this series of prints, Norman explores this idea further, working with elements both natural and man-made, highlighted in rich gold and copper foil to create small artworks that shine beautifully on the wall.
Dimensions: This print and mount is square and comes unframed, measuring 30 x 30 cm (11.8 x 11.8"). This size fits perfect in our square frame from Rockerlane Workshop.
Norman McCloskey has been photographing the landscape of Kerry, West Cork and beyond since 1992. He draws endless inspiration from the ever-changing light that each season brings. Throughout this time his connection to the landscape has deepened and continues to grow.
All prints are printed by by Norman in his Kenmare gallery in Co. Kerry.
